february and april finds of the monthArticles

This post from Hannah Brencher is what I’ve been reading lately when I feel a little like giving up. It pumps me right back up and gives me the motivation I need to go out there and kick butt. — Erin

Books

15791159This past month I read “The Invisible Girls” by Sarah Thebarge. It’s her memoir about barely surviving breast cancer in her 20’s and becoming friends with a family of Somali refugees as she healed. It is seriously enthralling. Check it out. — Erin

Organizations

I’m really looking forward to the InCourage In Real Life webcast coming up in April. “Think of it as a girl’s weekend away that doesn’t require packing or plane tickets, where women can kick off any expectation of perfect, set aside their fears, their shyness, their worry that they’re not good enough, and find some of Jesus’ words of rest woven into every video shared here.” — Whitney

Podcasts & People

elliecollectionI could not possibly oversell Ellie Holcomb to you. She is an excellent singer/songwriter who bases her songs on Scripture. She’s got a sampler out on Noisetrade and all the donations go to the Mocha Club (an organization that my husband and I love and support). Go get this sampler and make a donation to the Mocha Club. — Erin

Beauty & Buys

If you shop at Kroger, you should check out their mobile app. It organizes your shopping list and digital coupons and makes it easy to find what’s on sale. It’s made grocery shopping so much easier for me the last few weeks. — Erin

I found this amazing post of a few (cheap!) beauty favorites and thought I’d share. Haven’t tried them all yet, but I have quite a few and can attest to their brilliance, especially for the low-maintence gal. — Whitney
